Garden Design

At AEP Pools and Landscape, you can design, construct and maintain your garden using the one company!

Our service options range from consultation, design, construction and garden maintenance. We can also act as exterior designers to source the ideal item to perfectly compliment your garden.

Our Process

A full garden or small garden design allows the designer the time to expertly decide how to best utilise the available space. Concepts are produced to show you options available to incorporate as much as possible within your property. Completed drawings will be produced after a meeting to discuss the concepts, the completed drawing will provide information on the type, size at planting, quantity and varieties of plants recommended in your garden as well as all the products (e.g. paving, fencing, retaining walls) recommended for your garden design.

A well thought out garden design is the most effective way to clearly illustrate perspective in your garden and this also enables accurate pricing for the construction of the garden. The plan is used during construction and may also be required for council submission.

Drawing on your input from the Melbourne landscape design consultation, our designer will produce an initial concept design for your review and feedback. After any revisions are incorporated into the concept, a meeting will be arranged to present the design concept and discuss the key elements such as spatial layout, focal points, views and vista, and structural features such as Pergolas, Decks, Pools & Spas, Outdoor Kitchens and Water Tanks.

You will be provided with a construction estimate as well as a selection of material samples and images to help you visualise your future garden.

Once your design concept is finalised we develop the construction documents. This involves the drafting of both hard and soft landscape plans, any relevant elevations and detail drawings with the option to have a lighting plan developed for maximum garden appeal.

These construction drawings then enable us to provide you with a detailed construction quote and we can begin to prepare a schedule of works for landscape design in Balwyn, Hawthorn or Kew – and possibly even the other surrounding suburbs of Melbourne!

If you have any queries – feel free to give us a call!

Many clients find the thought of embarking on a landscape project rather daunting, but it doesn’t need to be. During the onsite consultation, our experienced designers will define the general direction the project should take, discussing issues ranging from whether a full design is actually necessary, to how to handle that ever present difficult corner in your garden. Budget and practical needs are thoroughly discussed to avoid planning and designing a garden that does not meet your financial or personal requirements.
